CHINESE STEEL EXPORTS VOLUME OF SEP. DECLINED BY 41.6% YEAR ON YEAR

In Sep. 2017, Chinese exported 5.14 million tons of steel, which declined by 41.6% year on year.

Steel exports remains weak, mainly due to a large number of outdated medium frequency furnace capacity shutdown, as well as the impact of supply decline caused by environmental restrictions.Domestic prices have rebouned sharply, and the spread between the domestic prices and foreign prices have narrowed, resulting in less enthusiasm for exports.
